Love hitting the trails with friends new and old, soaking up the scenery? Then join us for the Sussex Trail Runners Summer Camp at Eridge Green! Nestled in the heart of the High Weald on the border of East Sussex and Kent, this relaxed weekend getaway (June 26th – 28th) is designed for runners of all abilities.

Get ready to explore a landscape famous for its dramatic sandstone outcrops, ancient woodland, and the nostalgic charm of the Spa Valley Railway. Arrive at the campsite on Friday evening and begin your weekend adventure under the warm glow of the setting sun. 🌅 Set up camp and enjoy the peaceful surroundings of the historic Eridge estate—now with the added comfort of modern hot showers and an onsite café for your morning barista fix!

Here’s what awaits you:

Friday

  • Shake-out Run: Ease into the weekend with a short 3-mile loop, perfect for getting the legs moving after your journey.

  • Evening Social: A relaxed night at camp, connecting with fellow runners as the stars come out.

Saturday

  • Morning Prep: Start the day with a guided Pilates session to prep your body for the miles ahead.

  • The Main Event: Head out for an epic 14-mile trail run exploring the iconic Harrison’s Rocks and Eridge Rocks. These towering sandstone boulders offer a backdrop unlike anywhere else in the South East. We’ll wind through medieval woodlands and catch glimpses of the Spa Valley Railway steam trains puffing through the valley.

  • Refuel: After an exhilarating day, relax with an included BBQ feast (with tasty vegan options) and drinks. Share stories and celebrate a day of sandstone and singletrack!

Sunday

  • Recovery Pilates: A morning session to loosen up and prevent any post-run stiffness.

  • Morning Loop: One last group trail run—a scenic 6-mile route exploring the rolling countryside and hidden gems of the Eridge estate before we head home.
